Stanley Allen "Steamer" Johnson

Stanley "Steamer" Allen Johnson, age 42 of Richlands, Va., passed away Tues., Feb. 10, 2009 at his home. He was born in Menifee County, Ky., and was the son of the late James Allen and Mary Oma Johnson White Keene. Stanley was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He was a lifelong truck driver who loved trucking. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Dicky White, James Henry White and Edward Dale White, and one infant sister, Linda Sue White. Those who survive him are: his loving wife, Rhonda Lee Boyd Johnson of Cedar Bluff, Va.; daughter, Keri Elizabeth Johnson of Cedar Bluff, Va.; sisters: Elizabeth E. Joyce and husband Walter of Cedar Bluff, Va., Virginia D. White and fiancé Harman Lester of Bandy, Va., Debra J. Clifford and husband Nelson of Frenchburg, Ky., Patsy S. Street of Richlands, Va., Lelia Marcella Keene and fiancé Jimmy Lester of Cedar Bluff, Va.; brothers: Jerry D. White and wife Sandra of Blountville, Tenn., Vernon L. "Bun" White and fiancée Kim Hale of Richlands, Va., Larry G. White of Ezel, Ky.; mother-in-law, Janice Hayes and husband Charlie of Richlands, Va.; father-in-law, Ronnie Boyd of Tazewell, Va.; special sister-in-law, Jeannie L. Boyd Deel; special niece, Amanda Barnett; and special nephew, Aaron Isbell. Also surviving him are several aunts and uncles, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and many friends. Funeral services for Stanley Johnson were conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sat., Feb. 14, 2009 at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Va., with the Rev. Randy Keen officiating. Interment followed at Hankins Cemetery in Richlands, Va. Serving as pallbearers were: Jeffery W. Johnson, Steve Honaker, Lee Houchins, Paul Houchins, David McGhee, Gary Barnett and Johnny Johnson.
