Doris Ann Newberry

Mrs. Doris Ann Newberry, age 68, of Richlands, Va., passed away Tues., Feb. 10, 2009, at a Lebanon, Va., nursing home following a brief illness. She was born in Raven, Va., and was the daughter of the late Elbert and Georgia Reedy Newberry. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Arlen Newberry. Survivors are: husband, Harold W. Newberry; one daughter: Ann Dye and husband, Joe, of Richlands, Va.; one sister: Wanda Salyers and husband, Dewey, of Abingdon, Va.; special sister-in-law: Janice Newberry; best friend: Linda Goodman; beloved cat: Miss Kitty. Funeral services for Doris Ann Newberry were conducted Fri., Feb. 13, 2009, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Chapel in Richlands, Va., with Rev. Wayne Chant officiating. Interment followed at Greenhills Memory Gardens at Claypool Hill, Va. Pallbearers were Steve Null, Kris Null, Buster Newberry, James Newberry, Brian Salyers, and Bill Breeding. Honorary pallbearers were employees of Maple Grove Nursing Home. Friends called after 6:00 p.m. Thurs. evening, Feb. 12, at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home in Richlands, Va.
