Shirley Ann Maynard Sanders, 71, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at her home. She was born in Iroquois, W.Va., to the late Hayes and Pearl Gross Maynard and was preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Lynn Sanders, five brothers, Jack, Keith, Jerry, William and James. Survivors include husband of 54 years, Dean Sanders; one daughter and son-in-law, Sharon Lee and husband, Roy; two sons and daughters-in-law, Marcus Sanders and wife, Sona Gayle, Richard Sanders and wife, Leigh Anne; five grandchildren, Mandi Phillips, Micah Phillips and wife, Cheryl, Megan Phillips, Corey Sanders, and Shelby Sanders; three sisters, Norma Marchant and husband, Pete, Nancy Kendall, Sandra Zella; four brothers, Kenneth Maynard and wife, Linda, Gary Maynard and wife, Mary, Kerry Maynard and wife, Brenda, Linville David Maynard; aunt, Louise Gross; uncle, Clay Bailey; brother-in-law, William Sanders and wife, Mary; sister-in-law, Ella Winfrey; many nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Bob and Eula Johnson. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Bradley's Funeral Home with the Rev. Bob Nease officiating. Interment will follow in Marchant Cemetery. The family received friends on Friday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.bradleysfh.com. Bradley's Funeral Home, Marion, is in charge of arrangements.
