Robert H. Bryant Sr.

Robert Howard Bryant Sr., 78, of Wytheville, formerly of Tazewell, died Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009. A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. at Hankins Cemetery in Richlands with the Rev. Brad Simpson officiating. Graveside military rites will be conducted by Casey-Shortt VFW Post 9640. He was born May 18, 1930, in Bluefield, W.Va., son of the late Howard Dye and Evelyn Ireson Bryant. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Betty Honaker Bryant; and a son, Robert Howard Bryant Jr. of Wytheville. Those attending the graveside memorial service are asked to meet at the Singleton Funeral Service in Richlands by 10:45 a.m. Thursday.
