Bennett Lee "Ben" Walton

Bennett Lee "Ben" Walton, 48, died Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at the UVA Medical Center in Charlottesville. He was an avid Civil War enthusiast who enjoyed participating in reenactments. His other interests include antique cars and his love for animals. Survivors include his father and mother, Edward D. "Ed" and Kathleen T. Walton, Chilhowie; fiancée, Lianne Lenahan, and her daughter, McKayla Lenahan; two brothers, Alvin Walton and wife, Patty, of Abingdon, and Danny Walton and wife, Robin, of Chilhowie; two sisters, Christine W. Corvin and husband, Jim, of Florida, and Jean Harrington and husband, Dusty, of Florida. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 13, at Williams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank Branson officiating. Burial will follow in the St. James Cemetery in Chilhowie. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. prior to the funeral service at the funeral home or at any other time at the home of Danny Walton, 108 Plum Creek Rd., Chilhowie, Va. 24319 Williams Funeral Home, 242 Church Ave. Chilhowie, is in charge of arrangements.
