Thurston Lee "Hess" Rose, 55, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 at Johnston Memorial Hospital. He was born in Dickenson County to the late Garcie Thurston Rose and Hazel Marie Mullins and was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Rose, and an infant sister, Gloria Rose. He attended the Little Flock of God Holiness Church in Glade Spring. Survivors include special companion, Dreama Puckett; brothers and sisters, Billy Rose, Junior Rose, Mickey Rose, Lester Rose, Monroe Rose, Benny Rose, David Rose, Tammy Rose, Peggy Silcox, Janice Rose, Mary Potter, and Ella Hill; nephews, David Rose, Michael Rose, Aaron Rose, Brad Rose, and Andy Rose; niece, Kayle Marie Rose; and special friends, Jody and Pat Cregger, Bob and Betty Campbell, Roy and Sheri Lowery, Butch and CarolAnn Johnson At the request of Mr. Rose, his body will be cremated, and there will be no public funeral services. Bradley's Funeral Home of Marion is in charge of arrangements.
