Lucille Byrd McWatters

Lucille Byrd McWatters, 85, of Ocala, Fla., formerly of Independence, died Saturday, July 4, 2009 in Ocala. She was the widow of the Rev. John McWatters. She was born Sept. 22, 1923 in Teas to the late John and Clyde Hash Byrd. She is survived by one son and spouse, John and Ann McWatters of Ocala, Fla.; two grandchildren and spouse, Jeffrey Allen McWatters of Sparta, N.C., and Lorrie and Joe Poe of Jefferson, N.C.; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 11, in Carmi Baptist Church, Camp. Interment will take place in Blue Springs Cemetery, Camp. The Rev. John Pruitt and the Rev. Kenny Price will be officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour preceding the funeral service. Reins-Sturdivant Funeral Home, Independence, is in charge of arrangements.
