William D. Long-Caviness

William Drake Long-Caviness, infant, of Wytheville, died Tuesday, July 28, 2009. A graveside service was held Friday, July 31, at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Crockett. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Leonard William and Mildred Agnes Long. Survivors include his parents, Agnes Janette Long and Raymond Lee Caviness, both of Wytheville; a sister, Abigail Janette Long of Wytheville; grandparents, Dreama Scott Long of Rural Retreat, David William Long of Galax, George Raymond and Judy Caviness of Wytheville; great-grandparents, William J. and Mary Scott of Wytheville, and Imogene Caviness of Hillsville; great-great-grandparents, Velma D. Cline of Wytheville, Hugh and Jettie Porter of Max Meadows; aunts and uncles, David Andrew and Rebecca Cole Long of Sugar Grove, Stacy Holbrook of Wytheville and Misty Caviness of Wytheville; a cousin, David Samuel Long of Sugar Grove. Grubb Funeral Home in Wytheville was in charge of the arrangements.
