Donna Jane Rickman

Rickman Donna Jane Rickman, 72, died Thursday, Aug. 27, 2009 in Francis Marion Manor in Marion. She was born in Smyth County to the late Prince Alrid Goodpasture and Lennie Hamm Goodpasture and was preceded in death by a sister, Betty McMurry. Survivors include five sisters, Mary Williams of Marion, Shirley Bise of Rural Retreat, Thelma Garbinski of Aberdeen, Md., Nancy Poole of Youngstown, N.Y., and Judith Poston of Marion; four brothers, William "Bud" Goodpasture of Aberdeen, Md., James Goodpasture of Marion, David Goodpasture of Marion, and Paul Goodpasture of Marion; and 37 nieces and nephews. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 30, at Bradley's Funeral Home in Marion with the Rev. Bill Schoeneman officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Carmel Methodist Cemetery. The family received friends Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Flowers were appreciated or memorial contributions can be made to the Mt.
