Geraldine S. Christian Geraldine S. Christian. 83, of Abingdon died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol, Tenn. Funeral service will be held Saturday, Sept. 12, at noon at Eagle Soars Ministry in Abingdon. She was a native of West Virginia and had made her home in Abingdon for the past five years. She attended Eagle Soars Ministry in Abingdon. She was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin B. Christian; and a daughter, Drema Faye Christian. Survivors include a daughter, Sandra L. Christian of Abingdon; four sons, Jerry B. Christian of Largo, Fla., James K. Christian of Chillicothe, Ohio, Gil Christian of Stephens City, and L. Roger Christian of Kenai, Ark.; three sisters, Betty Thompson of Arlington, Barbara Saupp of Arlington, and Geneva Brewer of Bakersville, N.C.; and two brothers, the Rev. Harlan Stilwell of Springfield and James C. Stilwell of Covington. The family will receive friends at her home following the service. Farris Funeral Service is in charge of the arrangements.
