Hicks Kilby

Kilby Hicks Kilby, 71, died at his home, Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Preston and Sybil Owen Kilby. Survivors include his children, Tina Kilby and Mitch Kilby, both of Marion; two aunts, Ruth Cornett and husband, June, of Elk Creek and Faye Fluty and husband, Charles, of Roanoke; and several cousins. He was blessed with many friends who were just like family. Some of those special people are Helen Richardson, Mark Richardson, Bucky Elledge, Nathan Hopkins, Clarence Widner and David Powers. Funeral services were conducted Sunday, Sept. 13, at 2 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Elder Larry Blevins and the Rev. Mark Totten officiating. Burial followed in the Anderson Cemetery, Marion. The family received friends Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com.
