I didn't really know Bonnie personally, but through her son's eyes she was an absolute amazing person. I hope you all find comfort that she is at peace and in good spirits now looking over us.

I'll remember "Aunt Bonnie" as one of the most positive, fun-loving women I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Peace and comfort comes from knowing that she was prepared to go to her heavenly home and is no longer suffering. She's raised a fine family who will miss her dearly -- you are in my thoughts and prayers!

May I go now?
Do you think the time is right May I say good-bye
to pain filled days
and endless lonely nights?
I’ve lived my life and done my best, An example tried to be.
So can I take that step beyond
And set my spirit free?
I didn’t want to go at first,
I fought with all my might.
But something seems to draw
me now
To a warm and loving light.
I want to go, I really do.
It’s difficult to stay.
But I will try as best I can
To live just one more day.
To give you time to care for me
And share your love and fears.
I know you’re sad and afraid
Because I see your tears.
I’ll not be far, I promise that,
And I hope you’ll always know
That my spirit will be close to you,
Wherever you may go.
Thank you so much for loving me.
You know I love you too,
that’s why it’s hard to say good-bye and end this life with you.
So hold me now, just one more time and let me hear you say,
Because you care so much for me, you’ll let me go today.

Bill, Tammy, Bill Jr., Scott & Vicki: We are at a loss for the right words of comfort. What can be said is how wonderful a person, woman, wife, mother, friend, sister and cousin Bonnie was and will always be remembered and loved as such. Bonnie will be greatly missed, but never forgotten. Here is a poem that I find comforting:

When I’m Gone

Release me, let me go.
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn’t tie yourself to me with tears,
Be happy that we had so many years.

I gave you my love and you can only guess,
How much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
But now it’s time I traveled on alone.

So grieve awhile for me, if grieve you must
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
It’s only for a while that we must part
So bless the memories within your heart.

I won’t be far away, for life goes on,
So, if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can’t see or touch me, I’ll be near,
And if you listen with your heart,
You’ll hear all my love around you soft and clear.

And then, when you must come this way alone,
I’ll greet you with a smile and say, welcome home.

We so wished that we could be there with all of you. Please know that we are thinking of you all at this difficult time. Our love and prayers are with you now and always! All of our love, Darlene, Bruce, Matt & Logan.

Going home, going home,
I'm just going home.
Quiet-like, slip away-
I'll be going home.
It's not far, just close by;
Jesus is the Door;
Work all done, laid aside,
Fear and grief no more.
Friends are there, waiting now.
He is waiting, too.
See His smile! See His hand!
He will lead me through.

Morning Star lights the way;
Restless dream all done;
Shadows gone, break of day,
Life has just begun.
Every tear wiped away,
Pain and sickness gone;
Wide awake there with Him!
Peace goes on and on!
Going home, going home,
I'll be going home.
See the Light! See the Sun!
I'm just going home.

Be Still

Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.

Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.

If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.

We were so very sad to hear of the loss of Bonnie, and our thoughts and prayers are with all of you. We are with you in spirit, and we know how hard each day must be, but Bonnie will always be around, even though we don't see her - she'll live on in our hearts and memories, and we'll remember her for being such a lovely person to us all.

Much love to you all from Scotland

Jim and Margot.
