To the Whitfield family,

I can't tell you how saddened I was to hear the news of Lindsey. My daughter Jenni and she were childhood friends from Teasley...and the Brownie days. Lindsey was a kind and sweet child. My heart goes out to you and your family. We have another angel in heaven....

Dearest Judy, Lee, Andrew & Family,

I just heard last night from Cassie Bertke (Galler's sister) of the tragic event. I just boo-hoo'd in the airport as she described the accident as told to her. We lost a 21 yr old nephew the following weekend in a car accident as well. I can't imagine the pain you all are enduring - but know that God is taking care of her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Pam & Wade Mayberry.

Dear Lee, Judy, Andrew and extended family,

I just received the distressing news of Lindsey in an e-mail from Sharon to Dick Levinson to me. My most sincere and deepest sympathies go out to all of your family as you mourn this tragic loss. I have known your family for more than twenty years (since Lindsey was an infant) and know that she was loved and adored by all who knew her. Although she has physically departed this earth for a better world, she will live on endlessly in our hearts, thoughts and memories. May God be with you and comfort you through this most difficult time.

Sincerely,

Sandy Fenton

Dear Lee, Judy and Andrew,

I just got an email from Sharon this morning and am so terribly sorry for your indescribable loss. I feel like I got to know the grown-up Lindsey a little by reading the guest book, and realize she grew up like you--kind, caring, loving. God must have loved her a great deal to have taken her to Him so young. I will carry you all in my heart.

Love,

Sandy

I want to send my most sincere condolences for your loss. I am one of Lindsey's sisters at GSU. I was in the fall 2003 pledge class and, therefore, did not know her well. However, I share in your sadness because she was my sister. Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers always and I hope that the tears of grief soon turn to tears of happy memories. This poem seemed so perfect for Lindsey, because she is a rose!!

"With Deepest Sympathy In The Loss of Your Daughter"

- Author Unknown

Just like a beautiful long-stemmed rose,

Her precious memory grows and grows,

Touching the hearts of all

of those she loved.

And like the fragrance of that same rose,

Her love, so sweet, still flows and flows,

Filling our lives with a warmth,

that shows she's there.

So like a forever blooming rose,

The beauty she shared eternal glows,

For deep in our hearts,

each of us knows she lives.

These words of deepest sympathy

are sent in the hope that as time goes by,

cherished memories of your dear daughter

will help bring you inner peace

and make her seem still very close to you!!!

All my thoughts and prayers and love from Alpha Lambda,

ASLF

Lee, you will be in our thoughts and prayers. In a time like this there is no way to understand God's plan. But a beautiful daughter like this could never be gone from you, for God has planted her deep in your heart and for this you must be greatful. He will not take that love or memory from you. Because she was so wonderful she has touched many and will live on in their thoughts and heart forever. God bless all of your family. God be with you and Sharon also as you go through the days ahead. Dear Judy, You have to be so proud of your precious children. To know that Lindsey touched so many lives by her loving kindness has to be so rewarding. Andy is such a handsome, articulate man. I was very impressed by his speech at the funeral. I loved hearing from her dear friends. Joan had said even in kindergarten, she was so sweet and loving. She was like a little mother. Obviously, those qualities lasted all her life. I have thought of you constantly every day and I will continue to pray for your dear family. Love, Jan

Dear Family,

In all honesty, my kids and I didn't know Lindsey, except through stories and photos shared by Dawn Whitfield, who's Lindsey's and Andy's Grandmother, and one of my favorite cousins in the whole world; although I always hoped she and Andy would make it to one of Dawn's family reunions, which my kids would also attend, so they could make a Fichter family connection, with their own generation.

We all miss having known Lindsey, the light-filled person who is described within these pages, and dearly loved and missed by so many more. My love and condolances goes out to all of Lindsey's family, and I pray that loving thoughts of her, can bring her spirit close to the hearts of all those who care for her, now and always.

Since as early as I can remember, Lindsey has been a special part of my life. There are very few memories that I have from my childhood on North Elizabeth Lane that do not include both Lindsey and Andy as dear friends. The days and nights that we spent playing for hours in the neighbors' pools, riding our bikes down the hills of the neighborhood, playing Man Hunt until our moms literally had to coax us in for dinner, and sharing important milestones in each others lives will all forever remain etched in my memory as some of the best times in my life. It was a pleasure and a gift to share such experiences with Lindsey, and I will carry those experiences with me for the rest of my life. We are all luckier people for having had her in our lives. May God bless the Whitfield Family.

There are never words that seem to do enough justice in a situation like this. My sincerest condolences to the Whitfield family. Lindsey was one of my best friends at Lovett, and at the top of my list of people I wanted to get back in touch with. I'll never forget the New Year's I spent at her house when we shot Roman Candles at Andy and his friends, and one got stuck in the windshield of their car as they drove away - but they were throwing smoke bombs at us after they trapped in the garage, so we didn't feel so bad. :-) Love you, Lindsey. Rest in peace.

For the last 5 years, Lindsey has been our daughter, Ashley's dearest friend. They were roomates, sorority sisters at GA Southern U, dog lovers, and pranksters. You rarely saw one without the other. We referred to the house they shared as the "dog house" because there was rarely fewer than 3 dogs roaming and playing together in one room or another. They shared each other's babysitting jobs, when one couldn't sit the other would. They both loved the outdoors and we have as many fishing photos of the two as formal sorority dance photos. Lindsey will be in our thoughts and our hearts every day of our lives. She was a joy, and dear friend, and a shining star in our daughter's life.

We love you, Lindsey!

God Bless You and Keep You!
