Family-Placed Death Notice
ADAMS, Joan JOAN BOHLER ADAMS Joan Bohler Adams, age 72, of Marietta, GA passed away on June 6, 2009 at Hospice Atlanta after a yearlong battle with cancer. She was born May 12, 1937 in Ashland, PA and was the daughter of Clyde and Ella Bohler. Joan's many passions in life included her family and friends, musical theater, golf and pinochle. She was an active member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church for 36 years. Joan was school secretary for Mabry and McCleskey Middle Schools before joining her husband in their business J*Mar Sales. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Marv Adams; her children & their spouses, Kim & John Allen of Marietta, Karen & Rick James of Woodstock and Kraig & Leslie Adams of Roswell; grandchildren, Sarah Allen, Lee James, Lauren Adams, Sean Allen, Erin James, Adam James and Kollin Adams. A private family burial will be held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, Marietta, GA. A celebration of Joan's life will be held on Sunday, June 14, 1:30PM at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 2922 Sandy Plains Road, Marietta, GA 30066. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church - Today's Vision (www.HolyTrinity Marietta.org) or The Joan Gaeta Lung Cancer Foundation (www.forjoan.org). Woodstock Funeral Home, 8855 Main Street, Woodstock is in charge of arrangements.

Our deepest sympathy to Marv and his family. Joan was always so much fun to be with, and, such a wonderful, compassionate person. We will always remember our trip to Europe together, and, that great visit to your house when Marv served us those great omelettes. Joan always was so proud of his omelettes and told us he made the best! She also always talked about her family with so much love. We feel your loss Marv and send our love.
