it's funny how you meet people briefly and they stay with you a life time. i feel this is how it was with Val and I. She was my mentor; she was in the process of helping make my final career plans. She is such a vivacious, strong, caring friend. Val was suppose to go to China with a group of math and science nerds for medical epi; in a sence she did.. I mean it was so crazy how much we could feel her presence. One time the door kept opening and shutting and Rachel and I yelled stop! the door stopped, we looked at each other and both said Val! So of course I had to test the waters and sure enough I said door move and it moved. It was so crazy. Another time on the trip, Rachel and I were taking a picture dedicated to Val and wouldn't you know it, in the middle of a wodded mountain covered with budhas, as soon as a bypasser snapped the photo we smelled cigarete smoke. So Val will always be with me as an inspiration and hold a special place in my heart. Val for president!! I miss ya girl.

And to Trey and all of Val's family and friends: you raised a beautiful, smart, and funny women who will be missed forever! You are always in my prayers.

I dont even know where to begin, so I will just start by saying the Val was truly a good person. Not a fake, false friend but someone who when they asked "how are you?" actually cared what your reply was. I know for a fact that anyone who had the oppurtunity to meet Val understands what I mean. She will always be missed and always be remembered for who she was while she was here. And to Tray, lean on your friends throughout this and Val will be leaning on you.

Val was my daughter-to-be, but I thought of her as my daughter. She brought so much happiness into all our lives. She always had a huge smile on her beautiful face. I still expect her to walk into my kitchen, put her purse on the counter and start playing with the dog. Animals came first with Val. I am thankful for all the happiness she gave to Tray. I'll miss her forever.

Val was my little brother's true love and his wife-to-be. She became my sister and a part of our family. Valerie will always have a special place in my heart and will never be forgotten! I love you girl and miss you terribly!

My thoughts and prayers are with you all, Valerie was the light of her parents you could tell that when we would read the annual Christmas letter. Jan was a creative and proud mother as she wrote about the antics of her family. Val will be deeply missed. I am convinced that the love that you feel for a person is proportionate to the amount of grief and sadness felt when they are gone. God gives grace and peace to handle that loss and in time love and memories make loss bearable.

Even though I did not know Val very well, I know the influence she had on my nephew Tray. They were friends before they dated and fell in love. They shared a special relationship and common interests. Even though their time together was way too short, they were able to share a love few couples actually experience.

My heart and prayers are with Val's friends and family as they come to terms with this devistating loss.

It has uplifted me reading these messages during this very tough time.

What a beautiful, brilliant, witty and loving person! And, she picked my son, Tray, to share her life with. I see her glowing in Haig's face -- I feel her sweet presence in Jan's spirit -- and, her love radiates through Tray. I miss her terribly and feel so hollow. Praise God she lives on in Paradise today, and we can still see her every day living through Haig, Jan and Tray, and many who were touched by her.

Val was my sister's (Colleen) best friend and a friend to me. Whenever I came to visit Atlanta, she would come by and say hi. Always happy and crazy!!! I am thankful that she was a part of Colleen's life, she was very important to her.
You are all in my prayers...
My oldest daughter nicknamed Val "Battery" and she will never be forgotten.

I was so touched yesterday at the memorial service and later at the Antranikian's home by the obvious magic Valerie added to everyone's life. She was and is one glorius, unstopable, electric force.
I have been thinking lately that we really don't completely develop as humans unless we have children. They bring out who we truly need to become. And a woman who has a daughter gets the soul wrenching experience of watching that child go thru everything we went thru. Then we get to watch in amazement as they handle themselves in a completely unexpected and much more gifted way than how we handled it.
Haig and Jan must be extrodinary people to have created and been blessed to raise such an incredible human. People come into our lives, bless us, and then leave us here to learn our own lessons of love. Valerie truly gave a wonderful gift to us all. A tiny brush with her life has changed me forever. Those of you lucky enough to have been emerced in her spirit carry her gift around with you always. We all will never be the same. God bless you guys even more than he has to this point! xoxox

Val was definitely one of the funniest and most engaging people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I didn't know her as well as I'd have liked, but I always tried to hang out with her whenever I was in town, and I always had a fun time.

Val, you will be deeply missed. I know you're drivin' on that big racetrack in the sky.

Valerie, you were a special niece! Since we lived in different states, I only got to see you once or twice a year. I always looked forward to seeing what color your hair would be! I'm glad to have gotten to know you for your honesty and straightforwardness. Thanks, too, for bringing Tray into our lives.
Jan, Haig, Justin, Tray, and Sarah: May God's comfort rest upon you now and in the coming years, and may the Peace that passes all understanding soothe your hearts.

I sit here and stare at the empty screen and have no words, nothing to say that makes a difference or changes anything. I wish I were there and didn't have to be here. I wish I could hug you with my arms instead of just my heart. I wish I could make this all not true.

Every time we were together I could see your obvious delight in Val. You loved her sassy personality, her refusal to conform, her insistence on being just who she was. Your joy for her and Tray was clear. You loved her well. Val is truly missed.

I'm praying for strength for all of you, and for a sense of closeness to God, and to Val in a way that transcends time and space, and for you to feel the love of so many who care so much.
