My husband and I went to church with Carol. We loved her singing as she poured out her heart and soul into every song she sang. Her singing uplifted every heart and soul in the church. She was gracious and loving. She never met a stranger. She is missed very much. But KNOW that one day we will meet again when the Lord calls us all HOME.

Dear Bro. Steve and family,
Mrs. Carol will always be very special to many people, and will always be remembered as someone who cared about others. She encouraged me a time or two, with her sincere love for the Lord, her beautiful smile and her words of wisdom. She also has a singing voice that will never be forgotten, and I'm sure she is using it in Heaven right now! We will continue to hold all of you in our prayers.

Dear Brother Steve and "Girls",
My husband and I enjoyed going to Victory Baptist a few years back and we were sorry to hear of your loss. Carol had one of the most beautiful voices we had ever heard. She inspired me to sing many of yall's songs at our church, "He Never Gave Up" being one of my favs! Heaven's choir of angels truly has a special one among them now. God Bless you all during this time.

Dear Bro. Steve, Becky, Katie and family. I got the news of Carol passing last Saturday. I am very saddened to hear the news. I left Victory in Sept 05 to relocate to Syracuse NY. I remember Carol as someone with so much energy and love in her smile alone. She was such a caring and loving person and I know she will truly be missed. May you find comfort in knowing that she will be leading the choir up in heaven. God has truly been blessed with an angel up in heaven. My prayers and thoughts going out to your family and the church family. Love the Evans family

Bro. Steve and daughters,
I send my deepest sympathy to you and the family in the passing of Carol. Just know that you are being lifted up in prayer. We love you and enjoyed so much hearing your precious wife sing. She was always a blessing! God be with you. Much prayer and love.

Bro. Steve and Family,
We were so saddened to hear of Carol's death. We always enjoyed listening to her singing when we were able to come to Victory. She was always friendly, always saying hello when you seen her. I agree with Malcolm, Heaven sure was blessed when they received her.
We were unable to attend the service because our daughter-in-law who is expecting in November had to be taken to the hospital. Our prayers have been with you and we will continue to pray for all of you. Victory Baptist Church will surely miss her, as we all will. If there is anything we can do for any one, please let us know.

If Barry and I can do anything for you, please don't hesitate to call us.

There is nothing-No circumstance, No trouble, No testing- that can ever touch me until, first of all, it has gone past God and past Christ, right through to me, If it has gone that far, it has come with a great purpose, which I may not understand at the moment, but as I refuse to become panicky, as I lift up my eyes to him and accept it as coming from the throne of God from some great purpose of blessing to my own heart, no sorrow will ever disturb me, no trial will ever dismay me, no circumstance will cause me to fret, for I shall rest in the joy of what my Lord is. That is the "Rest of Victory"
Mrs. Carol was a wonderful lady. She will be missed dearly. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you.

I REMEMBER THE 1ST TIME I CAME TO VICTORY, IT WAS EASTER SUNDAY 1988 & CAROL WAS SINGING "A MIRACLE IN THE MAKING" I WAS SO MOVED THAT I CONTINUED TO COME TO CHURCH & EVENTUALLY GAVE MY HEART TO JESUS & JOINED THE CHURCH. I KNOW THAT YOU ALL WILL MISS HER SO MUCH AS WILL THE CHURCH. CAROL TOUCHED SO MANY BY HER SMILE & HER BEAUTIFUL VOICE SO I KNOW THAT SHE IS DEFINITELY IN HEAVEN'S CHOIR. I WILL MISS HER GREATLY, VICTORY SURELY HAS LOST AN ANGEL& IT WILL BE STRANGE NOT TO SEE HER UP THERE IN THE CHOIR. YOUR FAMILY IS IN MY PRAYERS.

As former members of VBC we had the blessing of hearing Carol sing many times. She was truly a servant of God.

People usually tell you that they are 'sorry for your loss'. You cannot lose something when you know where it is. We know Carol is with the Lord. What a comfort to know that some glorious day a great reunion will take place and we will be with our loved ones again.

We are praying for you.

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.

Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."

It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."

God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.

When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.

I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.

There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.

If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.

So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.

And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Be Still
Be still like the grass on a melancholy summer day
Be still like desert shrub.
Be calm and you will hear your loved one speak, in the stillness, in the calm, their love resounds.
If you are still this promise I make, you will hear the voice of your loved one helping you along your way.
Carol was a blessing to us all.

Bro. Steve, Becky and Katie,

I am truly sorry for your loss. When I was a young girl, my family attended Victory for many years. Mrs. Carol was truly a blessing. The power and beauty of her voice always left me in awe. I can still hear her singing, "It Is Well With My Soul." The Lord used her beautiful voice as an instrument to help save souls. May God be with you through this difficult time.

"Does Jesus care when I’ve said “goodbye”
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks—
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?
Oh, yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares."
*In Christ, we hurt with each other, and we rejoice with each other. We love you Bro. Steve, Becky, Katie and family.

Dear Steve,
We were so deeply saddened to hear of Carol's passing. Brother if there is anything we can do for you, please let us know. We are praying for you, Becky and Katie.
We'd like to share a special message in song that the Lord gave us..and we hope it will be a blessing to you and your family.
"My Life Has Just Begun"
If you could see me now
You wouldn't shed a tear
You'd be smiling instead of crying
It's so beautiful here
I wouldn't trade places
With any of you
My life has just begun
Yes, I've started my life anew.

Just remember that's only a body
That served its purpose there
Though we have not all the answers
We have to trust the Lord who cares
He cared enough to die for us
So that our souls could be free
Why not try to live for Him and be
In heaven for eternity.

I thank the Lord for my family
And my friends
And I hope and I pray
I'll see all of you again
If you'll give your life
To the Savior you'll see
He'll guide you to this heavenly home
He made for you and me.

Bro.Steve & Family,
These words that I write truly come with a heavy heart, and deepest sympathy.I have known your family for over half my life. This is a difficult thing to have to endure losing a wife, mother, and best friend to you all. After losing my mother over a year ago I have learned that we can not choose when,or how we die the only choice we are given by God is how we choose to live our lives while on earth. That statement has been such a comfort to me. I hope that it can be to you as well. Mrs.Carol's life, and walk with the Lord speaks for it self. Her legacy will live on through her beautiful daughters today and always. She will never befogotten. Your loss is truly HEAVEN's Gain! There is a new lead singer in God's chior today singing her heart out as she always did! We love you all so very much!

My deepest sympathy is with you for such a great loss, but what a wonderful gain to Heavens' Choir! I will miss having Miss Carol there on Sunday afternoon to help us get the songs just right and she always sat behind my daughter and I on the nights children's choir sang giggling at my daughter being the normal 4 yr old getting restless. She will certainly be missed by many, but know we love you so much and thank God for you being apart of our lives!
