Charles W. "Van" Van Amburg

Charles W. Van Amburg, "Van", 78, of Gold Canyon, passed away January 17, 2005 in Mesa, AZ. Van was born August 12, 1926 in Malden, MO. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, son, Ross Van Amburg, daughter, Donna Edwards (Vaughn), step-son, Phil Huebner, brother, Lee Van Amburg, sister, Mary Lou Roark, and four grandchildren, Ben & Joanna Edwards, Margaret Alice & Andrew Van Amburg. Van was a WWII Marine Corp veteran. Van always said, "There is no such thing as an ex-Marine." Van graduated from the Univ. of Nebraska. He was an executive with the US Postal Service, before becoming a realtor in the valley for over 20 years. He was very proud of his children and his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, January 29, 2005, at Lakeshore Mortuary, 1815 S. Dobson Rd., Mesa, 480-838-5639.
