Am remembering our first interactions in Tuba City. Penny had a garden of squash plants, one of the areas sacred three sisters. As we discussed community events and tending the garden, her awareness of the importance of her work showed brightly by all her actions.

I remember Penny helping me in Tuba City. Her example of as a loving servant to the Navajo Children has helped me throughout my time on the Rez.
I remember the garden around her Tuba city home and searching for squash beetles there.
I remember the joy of Aram being born and the loving care that Gary showed during her extended illness. My heart goes out to her family and relations.

my deepest condolences for you Gary and your family members. Penny was a wonderful woman who was always so very sweet to everyone. She will be sorely missed here on earth but will soar above in the Abha Kingdom gaining so much knowledge and bringing her ever closer to God.
May God keep you and your family strong and safe.
