Christ, Gus
Gus Christ, 90, of Scottsdale, AZ, passed away March 5, 2011. He was born in Ann Arbor, MI and was a Marine Corps veteran. Mr. Christ was a retired teacher for the Scottsdale Public Schools. Survivors include his daughter, Connie Burkhart; sons Fr. William Christ and Theodore Christ; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 6:00PM - 8:00PM Tuesday, March 8th with a Trisagion service at 6:00PM at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Wednesday, March 9th at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1973 E. Maryland Ave., Phoenix, AZ 85016. The family suggests contributions in his memory to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral.

He was like a second father to me, as he knew how to talk to kids. He was a fun and affectionate person. He will be sorely missed.
My heart goes out to Connie, Ted, Bill, and all of the other Christ family members.
May he rest in Peace.
