Frank Hensley Obituary

Hensley, Frank Jr.
87, of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on March 4, 2011. Frank, a native of Phoenix, was the son of Frank Sr. and Mary (Provence). He attended Phoenix Union High School and graduated 1942. He served in the Army during World War II and received the Medal of Honor. In 1946 he married his high school sweetheart at Central Methodist Church, where he has been a member for over sixty-five years. During their marriage Frank and his wife traveled all over the world visiting every continent but Antarctica. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service and retired in 1995 after fifty years of service. He leaves is wife of 64 years, Jean (McDonald) Hensley; his daughter, Martha Lubin; his son, Douglas (Carole); several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services will be held Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Central United Methodist Church, 1875 North Central Avenue Phoenix, AZ, and he will be interned in at Greenwood Memorial Lawn. Memorial gifts may be made to Hospice of the Valley.

Grandpa I will miss you!!!!!!! You have been the best granpa ever and you will be truly missed. I will miss you everyday. Christmas won't be the same without you, who will buy me 80 boxes of Christmas lights a year? I will make sure that Maddie won't forget you, she will always know who called her Love Love!!!!!! Thank you for being my Superman! I love you and will miss you.
