Walt was a gentleman. Working with him or beside him was a real pleasure.

I remember Uncle Walter singing Western Songs with Mom when I was a kid, and recently, when they got together in Hallandale, Florida. One afternoon we met Joey Solberg and her Mother, Helen for dinner at a restaurant on the International Coastal Waterway. When Walter, Mom, Rene and I were seated, Joey had made plans for the waiters to pop the Champagne. We had a toast to Walter turning 90, and he added a toast in Norwegian!!! After dinner, we all walked out onto patio. Walter started singing something and then Mom started to harmonize with him. Everyone had fun, and we had a great evening. That was the memory that will stand out in my mind. I'de like to share some photo's from then. October 2009
