Rosemary Wassom Obituary

Wassom, Rosemary
87 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on Mar. 4, 2011. born July 31, 1923 at Monmouth, IL, daughter of Elbert and Holly (nee Stull) Pullen. Married to Doug Wassom of Stronghurst, IL in Nov. 1941. Rosemary move to Phoenix in 1955 and worked many years at Hale's Beauty Shop. She then taught cosmotology for several years before returning to school to get her nursing degree. She was employed at St. Joseph's Hospital until retirement. Rosemary will be remembered for her many kindnesses to friends, family and animals. Her church was the anchor of her life. She is survived by her sister in law Dot Pullen, neices and nephews, Charlane DeRiemeir, Cheryl Bond, John and Dalton Young. Special thanks to Dr. Wendt of Hospice of the Valley and to Pastor Mel. Visitation 1:30 - 2:30 PM Thurs., Mar. 10, 2011 at Green Acres Mortuary, 401 N. Hayden Rd. Scottsdale, AZ 85257, where services will be held at 2:30 PM. Interment Green Acres Memorial Gardens. Contributions to Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 3530 N. 32nd Street, Phoenix, AZ 85018 are appreciated. www.greenacresmortuary.net
