Phyllis Anthony Obituary

Anthony, Phyllis Kathleen
daughter, wife, mother of five, grandmother, great-grandmother, child of God. Rich in family and friends and a wonderful influence on everyone she knew. Phyllis served God here on earth for 96 years - raising children in the way that they should go, babysitting grandchildren with all the love a grandmother could give, and making lifelong friends everywhere she went. She was born January 23, 1915 in Jamestown N.Y. to her parents William Edward Genno & Kathleen Tierney Genno. Phyllis lived in Warren, Ohio for 27 years & Phoenix for 65 years. She went to be with the Lord on Friday, Feb. 18, 2011. She is preceded in death by her husband of 49 yrs. Leonard R. Anthony. She is survived by her five children, Phyllis Neese, Peggy McAvenia, David Anthony (Lynn), Joyce Nicely (Jim), Christy James (Jesse). Eight grandchildren, Stephan Neese (Joanne), Kathy Neese, Tiffany Berlin (Dave), Glen Anthony, Holly Anthony, Janet Fernandes (Colin), Jennel Bainbridge (Patrick), Aaron Harper (Nadia), eight great grandchildren, Kyle Neese (Natasha), Jackie Neese, Michael & Adam Berlin, Joshua & Bethany Fernandes, Marie Bainbridge & Sophia Harper, & numerous cousins here and in Canada. A celebration memorial will be held Saturday, March 12 at 1:00 pm at Glencroft Auditorium where she resided for the past 10 years, 8611 N. 67th Ave, Glendale, AZ 85302. All are welcome.
