Bobbye Johnstun Obituary

Johnstun, Bobbye Jean
78, passed away March 6, 2011 in Chandler, Arizona. She was born October 25, 1932 in Mena, Arkansas. As a young girl her family moved to Longview, Washington in 1942, where she later graduated from R. A. Long High School and married Arvie Theron Johnstun of Rainier, Oregon in 1950. Together they had four children, raising them on a small farm in West Rainier before building a house on a hill overlooking Rainier and the Columbia River. After inheriting a family farm, Bobbye and Arvie spent several years raising blueberries in West Rainier. In 1992 they built a home in Gilbert, Arizona and split time between the Arizona and Oregon residences when they were not touring the country in their motor home. She is preceded in death by Arvie, her husband of 57 years. She is survived by two sisters Beth Greer of Louisville, KY, and Lyn Helton of Bolivar, MO; her four children, Cheryl Tamani of Longview, WA, Clifford Johnstun of Gilbert, AZ, Cindy Bess of Maricopa, AZ, and Clay Johnstun of Chandler, AZ; and 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation is planned for 6-8 pm Thursday, March 10, at Bueler Mortuary, 14 W. Hulet Dr., Chandler, AZ. Funeral services will be held at 11 am Saturday, March 19 at Rainier LDS Church, 27410 Parkdale Road, Rainier, OR followed by interment at Hudson Cemetery.
