John Kovarovic Obituary

Kovarovic, John J.
59, passed away on March 6, 2011 peacefully after a long battle with liver disease at home surrounded by his loving wife, children and family. He has lived in Scottsdale, AZ for the past 3 ½ years moving from Gloversville, NY to be near his children, John and Kari. He graduated from Gloversville High School and Spencer's Business Institute. John was employed as a machinist for General Electric for 19 years and a Xerox technician for 18 years, leaving this position because of illness. John was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Kathy for 36 years. He cherished his loving children John and Kari who were the apple of his eye. John truly loved his family above all else, leaving behind his unique sense of humor. John was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kovarovic and his mother Gloria (Caputo) Kovarovic. He is survived by his wife Kathy, son John (Sherie and Mia), daughter Kari (Todd) of Scottsdale, AZ, sister Teresa Kovarovic, sister Marie Visconti (Carl, Teresa, Mark (Coleen and Ben), brother Joseph (Kim and Alex) of NY. John loved his sports, riding his Harley and all family gatherings. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 11:00am at Messinger Indian School Mortuary, 7601 E. Indian School Rd. followed by burial in Gloversville, NY. Special thanks to Kathy's friends and co-workers of Hospice of the Valley who cared for John
with such love and compassion and Kari's close friends and co-workers from the Marriott Corporation. Donations may be made to Hospice of the Valley.

Kathy,
I'm so sorry for your loss. John was much more than a co-worker to me. He was a friend. He always spoke of you and the kids with such love. We're all lucky to have had him in our lives.

I am very sorry to hear of John's passing. Before retireing, I ran the XRX training center in Fishkill, and really enjoyed when John came down for class. He was one of the "good ol' boys" of the company, and a real gentleman.

Dear Kathy, I was suprised to learn of John's death. I am glad the kids were close by for you. I did not know John well but know of his struggle with a variery of illnesses over the years. You and your family will have wonderful memories to remember him by, even though the loss is hard right now. Dick and Nancy wanted to convey their sympathy.
