Homer McClendon Obituary
Homer "Mack" McClendon, 68, was called to be with Our Lord on March 1, 2011. He passed away peacefully at home in Phoenix, AZ. By his side was his wife, Alice, of 38 wonderful years. He leaves behind his daughter Rochelle (Steve) Jaszay, and sons Robert Fluellen and Andrew McClendon. Born on February 25, 1943 in Mt. Enterprise, TX to Homer Sr. & Tessie McClendon who preceded him in death, he was a loving grandfather of 7 beautiful grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Also preceding him in death are two sisters Geraldine Smith & Artillia White. He is survived by brothers James and Raymond McClendon and David Bell, and sisters Sally Coleman, Zelma Scales and Inez Griffin, as well as a host of relatives and friends. Mack was a construction laborer by trade and member of Local 383. He spent his leisure days traveling, casino hopping and enjoying the horse races. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 11:30 AM at Heritage Funeral Chapel in Peoria, AZ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the AZ Lung Transplant Society. Junior, "Mack", Brother, Pops, Umpa, Uncle and Friend.....You will truly be missed and forever in our hearts. Rest In Peace!

Dear Alice & Family: Heard the news today from Billie I am so sorry to hear of your loss. My deepest condolences to you and your family; my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I have many fond memories of Mack he was a fun person. He'll be missed by all who knew him, my deepest sympathies to you.
