Donald Mowery Obituary

Mowery, Donald L.
of Little Rock, formerly of Mechanicsburg, PA, passed away on Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. He was born on April 24, 1937, in Mechanicsburg, PA. He graduated from Shippensburg State Teacher's College, Shippensburg, PA. Don and Jiggs Ramsey have been partners in business for years ever since moving to Little Rock. He is survived by his wife and best friend, Elaine; daughter, Vickie Verbos of Mechanicsburg, PA; grandson, Marcus Verbos of Little Rock, AR; granddaughter, Gloria Kay Baker of Modesto, CA; three stepchildren, Michael Baker of Knoxville, TN, Dawn Wilson of Glendale, AZ, James Baker of Modesto, CA; stepgrandson, Jeremiah Palmer of Millersburg, PA; and two great grandchildren of Millersburg, PA. He is also survived by Hal Mowery (wife Phyllis), Richard Mowery (wife Roberta), Lois Ann Layton (husband Tom), and several nieces and nephews, and his beloved buddy "Jackson." A private farewill will be held at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, (501)224-8300, on Thursday, March 10, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. Memorials may be made in his honor in lieu of flowers to the Ronald McDonald House of Arkansas, 1009 Wolfe Street, Little Rock, Arkansas 72202 or to the Humane Society of Pulaski County, 14600 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210.
