Pelligrino Pelliccio Obituary
Pelligrino "Paul" Pelliccio went home to be with the Lord on March 5, 2011, after an extended battle with cancer. Born June 6, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the 8th of 9 children born to Pelligrino and Amelia Pelliccio. God blessed Paul with a talent of baking which was his passion. He was a baker for 60 years and original owner of Bagel World. Survived by his wife Mary Lou of 39 years; sons PJ (Ana), George (Dawn) and daughter Gina (Glenn); grandsons Dominick (10), Anthony (9), Nathan (6); granddaughters Sabrina (18), Samantha (13); Kaitlyn (12), Paulina (6) and Brooklyn (1); sisters Emily Enright, Gilda Salvadore and Brother James and numerous nieces and nephews. He also leaves behind his two dogs Tina and Nash. Paul was predeceased by his beloved daughter, Mary Louise; his brothers Anthony, Alexander, Johnny and his sisters Theresa and Tomasina. Visitation will be Friday, March 11, 2011 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W Beardsley Road, Phoenix, AZ. A Service of Remembrance will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 10:00 am.

It's been a while since you have been visited here. Today I feel this presence that is unbelievable, it's as if you are telling me something, but I cant hear what it is. I think of you every day! I want to tell you that Nathan and Paulina finished 1st grade yesterday, and Nathan told me that he was sad that you were not there to watch him move into 2nd grade. Maybe thats why I feel you presence more today because you would be so proud of what these little ones are, and how much they miss you as well as all of us.Your birthday is in 12 days, keep an eye out for your balloons.I love you and miss you dad so much.. Your always in my heart!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD! We miss you so much.. There is not a day that goes by that I dont think of you. Each day that goes by gets harder. Today we are sending you 77 balloons to heaven; red, white, and green. The kids picked out the colors for you. So keep your eyes out for the big balloon launch, its our way of saying happy birthday and we miss you. Mommy made an italian meal tonight for you, and I made your favorite tiramisu.. Wish you could be with us, and as Nathan said to me eariler you are up in heaven making pepperoni bread for your birthday, I love you and miss you so much.,

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man.
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

Dear Dad,
I write this on my 37th birthday, the first one alone without you. I miss you tremendously as wished I could hear you call me "Mo" one more time. You told me stay strong and take care of your mother. I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Paul was a definate fighter and fought this battle to the very end. I remember going over to the house to see Gina and there was always a smile on his face. Eventhough I know he was in constant pain. He leaves behind a wonderful family, but will be watching over you now. Remember as ll the good memories you had with him.

Dad, Oh how I miss you, I have no one to make a smoothie for. I am lost with out you. I held your hand til the end and will always be your #1 girl and you will always be my #1.. Your time here was too short, there was so much we needed to do. I will cherish the times we had making bread and going to the casino, we both shared the same loves in life. My heart cries for you. I wish I could hear your voice one more time. Today we found out that Nathan was being tested for the gifted program, you must be looking down because you always said he would go far and he was smart. We miss you and love you dad <3<3
