Mary Poole Obituary
passed on March 5, 2011 peacefully in her sleep. She was born on February 2, 1925 in Klenovec, Slovakia and came to Canada in 1930. She was a survivor of the Great Depression, and retired from Siemen's in Scottsdale. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to all. She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon of 62 years. She is also survived by her son James, daughter Bonnie Arlia (John "Bud"), and only grandchild, Adam. Her sister Mildred Erent (Martin) and brother William Darovny (Catherine) survive, and nephews, David, Robert, Gary, Mark and niece Lori and their family's in Ontario, Canada. If desired, donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Hospice of the Valley. Service to be held on Friday March 11th at 2:30 PM, at Green Acres Mortuary 401 N. Hayden Rd., Scottsdale, with reception following at Jim's home. www.greenacresmortuary.net

Bonnie- Your Mom was such a neat lady and I know she will be missed by everyone who new her. Her smile lit up the room. I can't imagine how hard this is for all of you. We hope our love, thoughts and prayers bring you some comfort. Love, Kevin, Stephanie, Austin and Travis

A special memory for me is, the look on your sister's face (my Baba) when you suprised her on her 50th anniversary...the laughter could be heard far and wide.

Sending our love to Uncle Gord, Bonnie and Jim for your loss at this sad time. We will miss you Auntie Mary. I have many special memories of your visits to Canada, and my visit to Arizona, I will look back on those times and remember you fondly. My first experience with your fabulous cooking... and you trying to find green chillies and tortillas in Canada in the 1980's!
We loved you, we'll miss you and we wish we could be with everyone to say goodbye. Sending our love... Lori, Mike, Addison and Cooper.
