Shirley Smith Obituary

Smith, Shirley
86, of Glendale, is undoubtedly dancing in heaven right now. She slipped away peacefully on Saturday March 5, 2011 after a long illness. We'll remember Shirley for her career in show business as part of the duo, Ubaldo and Margarita, who performed magic and Latin dancing across the United States, and for her happy work as a bartender in Phoenix and Cordes Junction. She loved many things, but she especially delighted in going to the casino, spending time in Rocky Point with Ernie and her "snowbird friends" and her love of dogs, particularly a special Schnauzer, Pixie. Shirley was a warm, funny, outgoing person who loved life and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She is reunited with Ernie Smith and she is survived by her family Kathi McConnell, Lucinda Davis, Paul Maseman and her grandchildren Sean Higgins, Alexis Terry, Joshua and Samantha Terry. A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 11, 1:00pm, at Waymark Gardens, 5325 W Butler Dr, Glendale. Donations in memory of Shirley can be made to ALS Association, http://www.alsa.org/donate/
