Michael Watters Obituary
passed away on March 8, 2011. Michael was born in Phoenix, AZ June 9, 1946 to Jeanette Rodgers (Anderson). He is survived by wife, Paige, one sister Karen Hoffman (Chris), and one brother, Kenny Rodgers (Debbie). He is also survived by two daughters, Cathy Merrill (Randy) and Sandra Paterson (Joel), and one son, Shawn Watters (Donna). There are also four grandchildren surviving him. Michael passed away from complications due to lung cancer. Services will be held at the Reunion Community Church 15002 N. 25th Dr. #1, Phoenix, AZ (602)222-9099 on Friday, March 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Donations may be made to the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Fund. I worked with Mike about 25 years ago at Wells Fargo ATM Services. He actually hired me, always remembered him as a good guy... RIP Mike!

A true friend. Reliable, honest, supportive. He came to our aid, in the middle of the night, before we even knew each other. As a high school wrestling coach, we would come to Peoria front up north ... he would welcome us with his police car, lights flashing. My kids always looked forward for that "nutty" cop that would come unto the bus and welcome us, also giving a pep talk to my kids...telling them what a good choice they had made to partcipate in sports.
I will sorely miss him and so will many strangers who only knew him as that nutty cop.

I remember the days long ago when I worked with Mike at Peoria Police Department. He was always smiling and playing jokes on us. I am sorry to hear of his passing. I remember Mike with fondness from the "good ole days" at the Peoria Police Department. He was always smiling and had a twinkle in his eye! He was one of the good guys. My thoughts, prayers, and sincere sympathy are with all of Mike's family.

I knew Mike when he work at Peoria Police Dept. Also, we went on several motocyles trips. Mike was a great guy and will be missed.
