Studeny, Janis J.
Janis J. Studeny, a fifteen year resident of Laughlin, Nevada, died March 5, 2011, in Bullhead City. Janis was born July 26, 1929 in Birmingham, Alabama to Max K. and Vivian M. Jones. As a young girl, Janis lived in several cities before growing up in Huntington, West Virginia. She became an accomplished musician and artist. Jan graduated from Ohio State University and for many years taught young children in Headstart and elementary schools in Pensacola, Florida, Phoenix, and Scottsdale, Arizona and finally in Laughlin, Nevada. Jan was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Karen (Robert) Moore, her daughters, Jane S. Wells and Beth S. Wichman. She is survived by her husband of fifty-eight years, Richard (Dick) Studeny, son Mark A. Studeny M. D. of Huntington, West Virginia, son-in-law David R. Wichman D.O. of Las Vegas, Nevada, sister-in-law Marie Bourgeois, brother-in-law, Robert Studeny (Dorothy) of Ashland, Ohio, grandchildren, Nicole Wichman, Las Vegas, Bryan Wichman, U.S.A.F., Scott and Michelle Studeny, Huntington, West Virginia, and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service may be held at a later date. In honor of Jan's memory, donations may be made to the American Lung Association, M. S. Society, or your favorite charity.

I HAVE SUCH FOND MEMORIES AS A YOUNG CHILD, THEY WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. YOU ALWAYS WERE SO SWEET WHEN I CAME TO PLAY AT YOUR HOUSE. MAY YOU REST IN PEACE WITH YOUR GIRLS.
