Arthur Turk Obituary
(Poppy/Uncle Art) to many who knew and loved him went to be with his Lord and Savior on March 8, 2011, at the age of 90 at The Good Samaritan Village in Prescott, AZ. Born September 30, 1920 in Alliance, Ohio to John and Rose Turk. He married Betty Jane Barcus on September 5, 1942. He enlisted in the Army in 1942 and was honorably discharged with the rank of sergeant. Prior to his retirement he worked for Motorola in Phoenix. He loved playing golf and pool with friends. He was a long time member of Sunnyslope and Prescott Christian churches. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Turk, a son Ken Turk (wife Pamela), sister Shirley Kline (Bob) of Alliance, Ohio, 6 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He was predeceased by a son Tsgt Bill Turk USAF. Graveside services will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6290 W. Northern Ave. Glendale, AZ at 2:30 PM Monday, March 14, 2011. A memorial service will be held at a later time and place. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Good Samaritan Village Prescott, AZ and the American Heart Association.
