Victor Driskill Obituary

Driskill, Victor Ray
died in his South Phoenix home on March 4, 2011. He was born in Oxnard, CA. to Patricia and Vic Driskill in Feb 1967 but spent his formative years in Midwest City, OK. There he met Bill and Rayma Marshall and thier 3 daughters and although Victor was only six he considered them his second family and returned often during his lifetime. He landed in Phx in1976 and because of his natural ease with people it wasn't long before he met Tad Foster and Mike Rozar whom he often referred to as, "the brothers I never had". Loyalty was indicative of Victor's approach to friends and family. Not only was he classically handsome, but his gregarious personality coupled with a legendary sense of humor made it almost impossible to not love him. It wasn't a surprise that he maintained a perfect sales record and was well liked by his collegues. Even though I was his older sister I was always in awe of my little brother and often humbled by his sensitivity and generosity. He was ,truly, one in a million and I was blessed to have had him in my life. He will be deeply missed.Victor was preceded in death by his beloved mother in 2001 and he is survived by his father, Vic, his sister, April, aunt and uncle; Earlene and Malcolm McDonald, his cousins; Brian McDonald and Heather McDonald Denny, and his paternal uncles; Billy, Jimmy, and Terry Please come reminisce and say goodbys with us at Megan's home at 1014 E. Pasedena in Phoenix at 5pm on Saturday March 12. or later (7pm) at The Hidden House at 7th Ave and Osborn. Feel free to contact April at 740-972-0227 if more info is needed.

Victor now comes words transversed thru time and received on faraway mountains of your passing. My brother of youth, I hold a heavy heart remembering and knowing of the independent, freewill, and need I say, yes your gregarious looks, heck if it wasn’t for your looks and smile, I never would have meet some of the girls I knew without you being there . I spent many youthful journeys, adventures and yes tagged along with you to West High. Brother it seems like yesterday and I could not believe you got us enrolled into drama class, not for any future acting but just to meet chicks, and bravo my friend it worked!! I am blessed to have known and been with you during the 80’s, no matter what movie, bands, video games or world events happened and made the 80’s GREAT I got to experience it with you and our Kenilworth brother and sisters! As the beautiful song says, “carry on my wayward son” I can close my eyes and drift back in time remembering rocking out in that awesome, sweet, metal flake green Buick skylark! Victor thanks for being there as a friend and bless your mom for letting a poor kid into her home.
Your youthful brother.

Wish I could of been there to help celebrate Victor. Being married to Tad ment that Vic was my "brother"-in law. He affected all those lives in which he touched and will be missed beyond words. He definitely shaped Tad's life and through that mine and our son Finns too! Victor had a big heart and his time on this earth was too short. He will always be a part of those whose lives he touched with his love, friendship and sense of humor! ~!Tawnya
