Bob Crider was in the Theta Chi house when I pledged. He was always cheerful and generally kind to the pledges--something I can't say about all the T.C. actives. Bob always had a smile and a cheerul attitude. He was also a very busy guy: going to school, running a rec. program in Milpitis, attending trestle parties. Of course, he'll always be remembered for his birds. Why did he take them off? He would have been so cutting edgetoday if he'd left them on. I extend my sympathy to all of his family.

Four men who knew Bob Crider at Mark Keppel High School since before we graduated in 1950 are Ed Thibon, Mark Hibbard, Dan Rogers and me, Tom McClelland. Ed and Mark even went to grammar school with Bob.
We shared many good times as youth. We were all into playing the ukulele, and many a singing session in Mark’s garage would last until after midnight. We were together in school classes, DeMolay, basketball leagues, beach parties, vacations and double-dates...remaining friends for life. We had our first cars together, did birthdays and graduations.
Ed, Bob and I attended San Jose State, pledging the same fraternity. I had many messages from fraternity brothers telling about the many good and memorable things Bob did in their presence. We all loved him as a brother.
He was creative, fun, generous and loyal. Bob was passionate about any projects he got into. We will miss Robert Eugene Crider. We salute our lifelong friend.

I wish offer my sincere condolences to Kim, Kurt and Mary Jean and their respective families. I met Bob and Beverly in 1963. We spent many happy summers as friends and neighbors at the Shuswap Lake in British Columbia. We watched our children grow up and shared many meals and happy times together. I cherish the memories. God bless.
