Dorothy Fricke Obituary

Fricke, Dorothy M.
Dorothy M. Fricke 94 peacefully joined her Heavenly Father on Monday, March 7, 2011. She was born in Park Ridge, New Jersey on January 4, 1917 and grew up in New York but lived most of her married life in New England with her husband, Harry, while fulfilling her dream of raising a family. In 1978 they retired and moved west to Arizona, settling in Mesa at Leisure World and continuing their active lifestyle. There she enjoyed art classes, lawn bowling, bridge, numerous other clubs, dancing and socializing with their many new found friends. Dorothy's greatest joy was her husband of 61 years; her four children, Carol, Laura, Beth and Bill; her 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Her gentle, nurturing sprit made her a loving wife, a dedicated loving Mother and a loyal friend. For the last four years, Dorothy was blessed to have received incredibly competent and compassionate care from Active Care Homes of Scottsdale. Celebration of life gifts can be sent to Hospice of the Valley, Northeast Clinical Office, 5111 N. Scottsdale Road, Ste 108, Scottsdale, AZ 85250-7076. Arrangements handled by Mountain View Funeral Home - Mesa, Arizona (480) 832-2850.

Dorothy was always so happy when visiting Beth, Jim and their family. I loved to giggle with her, just watching Dorothy giggle made me giggle. She will be missed by her family that adored her. May she rest in peace with her family in heaven. Joeen
