Richard George Obituary
82, of Prescott, AZ lost his courageous fight against heart disease and Parkinson's on March 7, 2011. Dick will always be remembered & admired for his strength & wisdom, his dry humor, his kindness, & his great devotion to his family & his profession. He leaves behind many wonderful memories & a family who is grateful to have known and loved such an amazing person. Born in Ohio, Dick served 27 years in the Army in a career spanning Korea, where he commanded a MASH unit, to Berlin, where he commanded Berlin Army Medical Center. He also served as Chief of Surgery at Gamboa Hospital in Panama and MMC in Phoenix until retirement in 1995.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife "Boo" (Boots). Survivors include his loving 2nd wife, MaryAnn; his children: Margie, Rick, Bob, Betsy, Ryan, Andrea & 13 grandchildren. A future memorial service is planned in San Diego, CA. Condolences may be left at www.greenacresmortuary.net.

My goodness I thought Dr George would live on this earth forever... but sadly God had other ideas. Dr. George taught me so much, as he did many, his ideals and truths about humankind, not just medicine and surgery. I will always be grateful to him for my abilities in teaching doctors how to teach. A truly gifted and memorable person.
