Sarah Jakubisin Obituary
a faithful servant of the Lord, has peacefully passed away. She joins her husband Francis, son David and her parents and brothers. She leaves behind a treasured brother, James (Mark) and a loving family including children: Debbie (Roger), Francis, Cathy (Jeff), Lisa (Jayne), Julie and four grandsons and two great-grandsons. Sarah also leaves behind many gracious relatives and friends, including her cousin, Betty. Her sweet dogs Max and Mowgli, will also miss Sarah. Sarah was proud of her 30 years of service at the Arizona State Hospital and her work with Jake in Catholic ministries such as Marriage Encounter and Retrouvaille. She loved Mass, Theresian meetings, Coca-Cola and watching news. We are grateful to Hospice of the Valley and Mom's caregivers, and especially to our sister, Julie who has been at Mom's side for nine years. Sarah, in your days you gave goodness and showed mercy to others. May you dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 P.M., with Rosary at 6:30 P.M., Thursday, March 17th, at Whitney & Murphy Funeral Home, 4800 E. Indian School Rd. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. Friday, March 18th, at St. Mark Catholic Church, 400 N. 30th St., with interment following at St. Francis Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Sarah's name to Hospice of the Valley, 1510 E. Flower St., Phoenix, AZ 85014 and/or APECA, 14175 W. Indian School Rd., Ste B4, #184, Goodyear, AZ 85395.

You have come to the end of your earthly journey and, no doubt, have been blessed to look upon the face of the Lord. From afar, I have been blessed by you, Jake, the children and brother Jim. For this, I will forever be grateful. You have earned your Angel's wings and will, no doubt, keep on blessing all of us.

It has been my great blessing to spend time with Sarah over the last few years. I encouraged her to write about her amazing life but she was into living but not bragging. Her legacy of love continues on through each of her children and those she has touched.

Sarah and Jake were my marriage prep couple almost 30 years ago at St. Mark. Funny thing is I played ball in high school with John their son before I ever met them. Both will always be dear to me.
Sarah and I shared many conversations over the years and she always struck me as one of the kindest person I ever had the honor to know. There was no doubt that when you saw Sarah, you also saw the face of Christ in her. She will be missed but I know I can count on her as one of my angels in Heaven helping me on my journey.
I'll miss you but most of all I rejoice in the glory you now share with our Loving Lord. You were a warrior for Him here on earth, enjoy eternity in His company.

My condolences to the family of Sarah. We also went to St Mark's Church and knew your parents from there and Marriage Encouter. We last saw her and her family at my dad's funeral in July. Your mother was a very giving person and know that she is no longer suffering and is in a better place. I wish you all God's Blessings, the Peace of Jesus Christ and the Presence of The Holy Spirit.

Dear Sarah,
As my tears flow for you...I loved knowing you and being in your company. You are/were a dear friend to me and my boys. The blessing you extended to boys is the greatest memory you left them.
Jesus remember Sarah as she enters your kingdom. The bible verse of "well done my good and faithful servant" most a surely fits you my dear friend. Rest my dear friend your work here is done.
