Daniel Silashki Obituary

Silashki, Daniel D.
Born November 3, 1926 in Akron, Ohio, Dad was an Eagle Scout, WWII US Army Veteran, proud University of Akron alumni and TKE fraternity brother. He had an entrepreneurial spirit having owned and operated several businesses throughout his lifetime, and was a gifted salesman too. Dad was predeceased by his beloved wife Olga ("grammy"), and is survived by his four loving and devoted children, Pamela Meaux (Bob), Dan Jr. (Diane), Dennis (Elaine), Marc, "adopted kids" Reuben and Lynda, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, brother Mickey (Mary) in Akron, many nieces, nephews and other family members. Dad lived a blessed and full family life. We will all miss his wit, sunny disposition, warm embrace, hearty laugh and loving hand. The family wishes to especially thank a small but loving and caring group of caregivers at the AZ VA Home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church Cultural Center, 4436 E. McKinley St. Phoenix, AZ 85008. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, at 11:00 a.m. at Greenwood Memory Lawn Serenity Chapel, 2300 W. Van Buren St. Phoenix followed by a funeral service at 12:00. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Colonial Chapel.

Pam, Danny, Dennis and Marc........
Though distance has separated us from Uncle Danny and all of you for so many years, he will always hold a special place in my heart as all of you still do! I am so glad John and I could see him a year ago and wish I could be there with you now.

You were devoted to him and can have no regrets. Missing everyone more than words can say!

All my love to you my dearest cousins,

Christina (Silashki) Donatelli
