Herbert Verboom Obituary
80, of Peoria Arizona passed away on March 3, 2011. Herb enjoyed all sports , and played high school and Triple AAA baseball before serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He then began his career as a successful salesman and manager for The Prudential Insurance Co., and was part of the 1957 Hammond Indiana District that was the #1 Sales District in the nation. Herb retired from Prudential after 32 years, only to begin a second career, helping to run the Aladdin Travel Agency in Munster Indiana with his wife Barbara, for 8 years. He then retired to Peoria Arizona in 1994 to enjoy golfing and the beautiful year-round weather. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years Barbara Stojan Verboom, his daughter Joyce Verboom, (Thomas Brownley), of Orland Park, Illinois, and his sister, Dorothy Hruska, of Merrillville, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Pelc, of Katy, Texas. Since Herb donated his body to medical science, a memorial will be held at a later date. Herb was loved by his many friends. and will truly be missed by all. Donations may be made in Herb's name to the Arizona Humane Society.

Dear Barb:
We were so surprised and feel so bad for your loss. We have missed seeing Herb around the golf course here at Westbrook Village. He was such a nice friendly guy. We know that he had his health issues, but did not know how serious it was. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
