Woodrow Wilson Obituary

Wilson, Woodrow J. (Woody), Sr.
93, of Phoenix, passed away Sunday, March 6, 2011. He was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Helen, and 1 granddaughter, Angela Harvey. Born in Denver, he was a community leader in the Rocks of Lourdes at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, South Denver Optimist Club President, and Boy Scouts of America. In Phoenix, he was a member of St. Mary's Basilica. As a Vincentian for St. Vincent De Paul Society he helped many people in need. He is survived by his five children: Mary Christmas, Scottsdale; Donna (Lindsay) Smith, Littleton, CO; Woodrow Wilson, Jr., Phoenix; Nettie (John) Harvey, Federal Way, WA; and Joe (Patti) Wilson, Glendale. He leaves 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Memorial Mass and reception will be held March 23 at 9:00 A.M. St. Mary's Basilica, 231 North 3rd St. Interment with honors will follow at 1:30 P.M. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to St. Vincent De Paul Society, P.O. Box 13600, Phoenix, AZ 850002 or St. Mary's Basilica.
