Bell, Leslie (Les) William
Leslie (Les) William Bell, 87, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011. He was born in Des Moines, Iowa on Sep tember 3, 1923. Due to health reasons, his father moved the family to Phoenix in 1932. Les turned 9 years old on the trip west. He attended Phoenix Union High School. He served in the Navy during World War II. He married Zula (Judy) M. Masters on September 6, 1946. Les started in the ceramic tile business after the war, and later established Bell Tile Company. He worked as owner/ope rator with his brother-in-law, Harold Coates, until he retired in February, 1986. He took up golf after the death of his wife and played regularly until one week before
his death. Les was preceded in death by his loving wife, Zula (Judy), and sister Barbara. Survivors include sister, Margaret Trausch; sons Gary Bell and Stanley Bell; grandchildren, Derek Bell, Whitney Bell, Joshua Bell, Tay
lor Bell, and Garrett Bell and great-granddaughter, Mady sen Leslee Bell. Services will be held at 1:00PM on Wednesday, March 16, 2011 at A. L. Moore Grimshaw Beth any Chapel, 710 W. Bethany Home Rd., Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers please make donations to one of the veterans'
