Whispers From Heaven
When I left this world without you
I know it made you blue.
Your tears fell so freely,
I watched: I know this is true.
While you were weeping,
Days after I passed away,
While all was silent within me,
I saw you kneel to pray.
From this wonderful place called heaven
Where all my pain is gone,
I send a gentle breeze to whisper
"My loved ones...please go on."
The peace that I have found here
Goes far beyond compare...
No rain, no clouds, no suffering...
Just LOVE from everywhere.
You need not be troubled
Just stay close to God in prayer.
Someday we'll be reunited
My love, HIS love surrounds you always
EVERYWHERE!

God saw he was getting tired and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around him and whispered, Come with Me.
With tearful eyes you watched him suffer and saw him slowly fade away.
Although you loved him dearly you could not make him stay.
A golden heart stopped beating, hard working hands put to rest.
God broke your hearts to prove to you, He only takes the best.

Cathy, we didn't know you and Mike that well, but every time we would meet him at Fry's, I was amazed at the energy he had! Even that day I stopped to visit after you had cut down the tree in the front yard. He was amazingly upbeat and energetic. Mike brightened our neighborhood not only with his smile and enthusiasm but with his beautiful yard decorations all year long. We are blessed to have known him for the little time we did and enjoyed the sunshine he brought with his smiles and waves as we drove by. He was definitely one of a kind and will be missed by many. May God bless and keep you as you go forward with Mike in your heart. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Cathy - None of us will really know the pain and lonliness you are feeling now but know you do not have walk alone on this path - many of your friends will walk along side of you and will support you as we can. I will always remember coming to your house and being told 'no shop talk here' by Mike - he loved to visit with anyone who stopped by - always willing to help everyone. The video showed he loved his family and they loved him. He will be missed by many. Cathy, am holding you in my thoughts and prayers always.

My Dad's prize possession's during his life were his family and his 1966 Chevelle SS. As I came home early from a date my Dad was sitting outside in a lounge chair having a few beers under the stars. My Mom had just headed off to bed and my Dad was wanting to take his car for a cruz. Knowing he had a few drinks and of course not wanting to make my Mom mad, he no other choice but to let his then 16 year old daughter take him for a spin. Good idea?? With me behind the wheel we headed out. As we got into Tempe close to ASU he even ducked down in the seat so I could look like I was out in the car, tunes playing loud, all by myself. Now that's a cool Dad. Miss ya, love ya always, your little monster - Julie

In the quiet of the evening I set and have a beer
The empty chair beside me makes me feel that your are near.
I see your face and your smile
hear your voice and laughter too
It takes away some of the pain
that were all going Thur
When I reach for another beer
I think that I'll grab two
One for myself
Then I'll drink the one for you
As I set and watch the stars
I see the one so bright
I swear that it winked at me
Like saying do-not worry
I'm going to be alright
I know that time will heal the pain
And wipe away the tears
But the chair will remain beside me
Just in case you want your beer
Your Friend and
Brother always......Ted

Never will I forget when 4 cousins (3 boys and 1 girl) were left in an apartment for awhile while Mike, Cathy, and my mom (Cathy's siter) stepped out. Us boys decided we had our shoes on long enough. Needless to say when all the parents returned the smell was overwhelming. They could not open enough windows to clear the place out. That day and story has been shared over and over again for many, many years.

Will also remember our "belly laughs" at dinner. All it took was just that look. Love you, Samdy

The Broken Chain
We little knew that day that,
God was going to call your name.
In life we loved you dearly,
in death we do the same.
It broke our hearts to lose you,
You did not go alone.
For part of us went with you,
The day God called you home.
You left us peaceful memories,
Your love is still our guide.
And though we cannot see you,
You are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken,
And nothing seems the same.
But as God calls us one by one,
The chain will link again.
Cathy, it was an honor to serve you guys & be a part of your lives.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. Not being one of Mike's many close friends, I still enjoyed our conversations at the ballgames and the times I would just "drop in" while driving through your neighborhood. I always left "inspired" by Mike's enthusiasm with life and his looking forward to "every" next day.
I am sure it is the same enthusiasm and inspiration of Mike's that helped you endure the many ups and downs during his treatment. All of your fond memories of Mike, coupled with family and friends will help carry you through the days ahead.
Our thoughts are with you,
Nelson and Peggy

I am going to miss our wonderful neighbor very much. Year after year, he brought such color and cheer to our neighborhood in Mesa with the amazing, creatively rendered Christmas light displays as well as his wood-carved paintings that brightened many neighbors' yards, including ours. My father and I will miss him very much.
