Skylar Benhart Obituary
Skylar Edward Benhart of Phoenix passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011. Born in Phoenix on March 16, 1991 he was the son of Rebecca Benhart and Edward Benhart. Skylar graduated from Shadow Mountain High School in 2010. In addition to his parents he is survived by his aunt Sandra Berschauer and cousins Storm and Travis Berschauer and many other family and friends. Skylar was loved by many and will be missed by all. He was preceded in death by his "Nani" Robin Stewart. A celebration of Skylar's life will be held on Sat, March 19, 2011 at 2:30PM at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Rd, Peoria.

Skylar- I still think about you everyday even though I didn't see you everyday. I look at your picture and see so much good in your eyes. I know everyone has their own memories...but I remember you as a wonderful kid who really grew up to be a nice young man. We all will miss you...but your mom will miss you the most. So glad you are at peace! I love you!

Sky, not a day since your passing have I not thought of you. The tragedy of your passing has taken something from me that I cant replace. I can't tell you how much I miss you and how badly I wish I would have been able to keep you home so that "whatever" happend didn't and you'd still be here today. I sure hope that you did realize how much mom loved you and that you were and will always be my world. Without you I am broken and will never be complete as the biggest part of me is now gone. Skylar I remember the day your mom found out she was pregnant she was so happy and the day u were born she now had her angel you are all her life and dreams u played with my kids u and your mom are part of our family forever we miss u skylar and your mom does so. As a father of an eight year old, the news of your loss breaks my heart beyond words. I am so, so very sorry. I just finished a prayer asking the Lord to help you find some shred of solace in this most excruciating time. Becki, so sorry to hear about your loss. After all those emails and phone conversations in my three years of having him in class, I know how much you cared and wanted the best for your son. Skylar always brought a lot of energy to my classroom and was fun to have in class, he had a big heart for his mom. As teachers we have students come and go, but I will always remember the funny things he did, nobody will ever forget him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

I was one of Skylar's bus drivers for about 3 years, and he was a great kid. Myself and some of his other drivers were saddened when we heard of the loss. Please know that you and your family, and all of Skylar's friends are in my heart and prayers.
