I was so sorry to learn of Betty's passing. Jerry and Bev Johnson, my parents, were neighbors up in Caribou and I was a neighbor in Bangor around the time my parents moved to Brewer. The Merrys kept in contact for years until my mom died, and we were sad when Bucky died. I knew Kim and Larry at Fairmount School where I was the school librarian. We all have fond memories of the Merrys and are happy to hear that Betty had remarried and had a great life since we last saw her. Betty, rest in peace dear, you will be long remembered. Sincere condolences to the family for the loss of such a wonderful woman and friend.

To Betty Lou's Family,
I was so sorry to hear of her passing. Growing up I thought she was my cousin, because I thought of Lawrence and Florence as my Aunt and Uncle! Lawrence came to my Grandmother and Grandfathers farm when he was in his young teens. He grew up there with my Uncles as if he were their brother. I remember playing many times at Betty Lou's house with Betty and Leigh (Dow), I thought, as a child, he was her brother! I even had one of those covented home made sweaters made with love from Florence. Mine had a horse on the back...I wore it out. So rest in peace "cousin" Betty Lou, may God hold you in his arms.
