Robert Ramsey Obituary

Ramsey, Robert Ronald
81 of Mesa passed away on February 26, 2011 surrounded by loving family, from complications of pneumonia. Born in Minot ND, Bob lived most of his life in southern CA where he retired from Sperry (Honeywell). Bob was an avid woodworker, watchmaker, jeweler, engineer, and mechanic. He loved to build things with his hands, and made many enduring marks in the world. Bob was always at home wherever he was, and those fortunate enough to call him friend knew how special he was. He served his country in WW2 and Korea as a member of the 7th infantry, and will be given military honors. Bob was Quartermaster of the Torrance CA VFW and an active member of the American Legion and the Elks. Bob was gregarious and larger than life with a giant intellect and an ancient soul. His strength, kindness and humor will be remembered by many. He was blessed early in life with four daughters, Linda, Diana, Andria, and Tina. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 38 years, Jackie Ramsey nee Burdick from Hickory Corners MI, and his adoring children, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Saturday March 19,2011 at 7:00 PM at Mariposa Gardens, 6747 East Broadway Road, Mesa AZ 85206. Family will recieve friends from 6:30 pm till the time of the service 7:00. www.mariposagardens.com
