Robert Bickel Obituary
68 of Phoenix, AZ, passed away on March 14, 2011. Bob was born March 6, 1943 to LeRoy and Samoline "Sugar" Bickel in Phoenix, AZ where he continued to live until his passing. Bob was a carpenter by trade and worked his way up to Superintendent for some of the largest companies in AZ, McCarthy, Kitchel, and A. J. Thomas. He was Gen. Superintendent on the Phoenician among other local buildings. Bob loved to hunt, fish, deal in cars and share his stories. Helping his Friends and Family was one of his greatest joys. Bob was preceded in death by his Mother, Father and Brother Lee. He is survived by his Daughters Yvonne Bickel, Jeannette Montemayor, 3 Grandchildren, 3 Great Grandchildren, his Sister Virginia "Ginny" and her husband James White, many Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and a host of Friends, all of whom will miss him greatly. Graveside Services will be Mon., 03/21/11 at 11:30 AM at Greenwood Memory Lawn, 27th Ave. and Van Buren, Phoenix. Arrangements entrusted to Advantage Golden Door Chapel, Youngtown, AZ.

My heavens. Would someone please contact me @ [email protected] and tell me what happened to Bobby? I have known him for several years; him and his dear friend, Frank Kritinar, whom also passed Dec. 14, 2010. :(

A truly wonderful man. An icon in my home growing up. I always loved hearing Bobby Bickle...aka "The General" stories. You taught me how to fish up at Blue Ridge Reservoir when I was 9, and were always such a good friend to my dad, Rick Smith.

Bobby will be missed. He was a good friend to many. I knew Bobby since I was a boy. I was also Bobby's bartender and friend for over twelve years. and over the last eight years I was fortunate enough to be graced by his presence every saturday at our weekly poker game. And I learned a lot from playing Bobby in a Texas Hold em' tournament. No matter what you may know about the game and it's statistics. No matter how many Hell-mouth or Brunson books you may have read
