Helen Canty Obituary
Helen C. Canty, 95, of Phoenix, AZ, went to be with her beloved husband James Canty on March 4, 2011. She was born in New Orleans, LA on November 15, 1915. Helen moved to Chicago with her family at an early age. She retired from Standard Oil after 20 years of service. Helen moved to Phoenix where she resided for the past 30 years. She devoted much of her time to volunteering at the Jewish Thrift Store, attending Phoenix College and spending time with her friends. She was a member of St. Francis Xavier Church for many years. Helen was a gracious and caring woman until the very end. She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by a host of
family and friends. Services will be held in Chicago at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation to a charity of your choice would be much appreciated. www.ALMoore-Grimshaw.com

Dorthea and family, our sincere condolences on the transition of Mrs. Helen C. Canty. May you be comforted by the many fond and loving memories of such a woman of Helen's caliber and breeding. We will miss her and have appreciated you sharing her with our family over the years. Extended sympthany to all who knew and loved Helen. Dorthea praise God for being the consumate "Daughter" and "Care Giver" for a great number of years.

We truly enjoyed Ms. Canty's visits to our office. She was a true and proper lady to be admired. Our condolences to Helen's family. We know she will be missed.

I'll miss Helen's quite spirit- such a lady with class. I'll remember the times that her Arizona daughter, Dorthea would bring her to my home for my annual New Year's dinner. Extending sympathy to Dorthea & her immediate family.
