Marcelino Flores Obituary

Flores, Marcelino N.
81, of Phoenix, Az passed away on March 17, 2011. "Flores," as most knew him by, was the proud business owner of Flores Roofing for 43 years. He retired but soon discovered he couldn't stay off the roof. He would drive around the neighborhoods looking for work trying to convince potential customers that at 81 years old he could climb the ladder to take a look at their roof. He loved his family, loved to garden and bake, and enjoyed watching Mexican wrestling but most of all he loved fishing. His friends will miss his friendship and his sense of humor. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Juanita Flores, six daughters and one son: Shirley Cota, Madalena Lovato (Ismael); Maria-Izabel Zavala; Mona Flores; Rachel Robles (Anthony); Jesse A. Flores (Maria Coty); Marcelina Wheeler (Roy). He is also survived by twenty-two grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and numerous in-laws. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sara Andrea Tovar, three sisters and both his parents. Funeral will be held Monday, March 21, 2011 at 10:00 am at Iglesia Bautista Central, 19 W. Hatcher Rd. Burial at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave. Funeral Arrangements being handled by Abel Funeral Services.
