Philip Highum Obituary
92, of Ahwatukee, Arizona passed away on March 15, 2011. Born in Rushford, MN in 1918, he was a beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle. Formerly of Minnetonka, MN, Phil was a longtime employee of General Mills, retiring to AZ in 1981. Served as a U.S.
Army Staff Sergeant in WW II, European Theatre, including Utah Beach on D-Day. Preceded in death by father and mother Philip and Martha Highum, brother Paul Highum, and sister Helen Celentano. Survived by his wife of 62 years, Jane Highum; son Peter Highum (Lisa Goemer) of Shakopee, MN; daughter Kristi Maitland (Bill) of Edina, MN; grandson Caelan Maitland of Edina, MN; nephews and nieces; and cairn terrier Megan. Philip will be interred at Ft. Snelling national cemetary in MN - service held at a later date.
